Firewood

Wright Custom Timber and Arms is proud to offer premium kiln dried firewood.
Our firewood is made using West Virginia hardwoods like red oak, white oak, maple, and poplar.
If you have never had the pleasure of burning kiln dried firewood there are a few major differences between typical “seasoned” firewood and kiln dried firewood.
  • Burns More Efficiently - since our firewood is kiln dried it has a considerably lower moisture content which allows it to burn more efficiently which translates into more heat from your fire!!!

  • No Bugs - all the bugs which are traditionally found in firewood are killed during the kiln drying process. We bring our firewood up to over 160 degrees during the drying process which eliminates all bugs from your firewood.

  • Less Smoke - kiln dried firewood is drier than “air dried” firewood which results in a considerably lower moisture content which means LESS SMOKE!

  • Dryer - our kiln dried firewood has a moisture content around 8-10% which is lower than “seasoned” firewood which is normally around 22-28%

  • Lights Easier - our kiln dried firewood lights easier due to its lower moisture content!
